A little late to the discussion but I only wade through the political
crap once in a while.

Our course has 3 sets of tees, blue, white and red. Red being the
ladies and juniors tee and the blue and white ones considered the mens
tees, well duh. The course is rated for those three and two combos,
white,blue and blue, white. The first colour is for the par 4's and
the second for the 3's and 5's. It is a great way to mix up the course
and they are used almost exclusively for Mens Morning and a similar
comp on thursdays. Both are rated the same and are basically halfway
between the ratings for the white and blue tees.

As for yardages I don't believe them much anyways. Our course seems to
understate the yardages on more than a couple of holes. Playing with
guys with range finders makes me shake my head at the who ever
measured the course for the "official" length.
