My friends at Lahinch, who have been around the Irish match play scene all
of their lives, were saying back in 1996 when Harrington yet again failed to
win the South that he was great to mind a card but not that great in match
play. Perhaps they were right. On Sunday Harrington didn't look too happy -
perhaps he didn't like being put out last.

I make it Harringtons representative matchplay record is now

Ryder cup 7 wins from 21 matches
Walker Cup 3 wins from 9 matches

Add in a few halves .....if the whole team had an equally "impressive"
record they would never win!
