Just wondeing if anyone else heard this comment that Johnny Miller
made during yesterday's P.C. I don't recall the hole, but it was a par 5 that Goydos laid up on. MIller said something to the effect of: "That's the way to lay up, just 'fold' the arms back and throw the club forward. If weekend golfers would do that they would be competing for their club championships because of the accuracy of that shot." OK: "Fold the arms back" Does he mean make a full hip and shoulder turn, but just put a big bend in the arms, or make an abbreviated backswing? "Throw it forward" I assume he means finish the swing as normal. As I said, these may have not been his exact words, but I found that tip interesting. |
